A government fact-finding mission looking at the impact of the Every Child Matters agenda could feed into the forthcoming green paper on looked-after children, according to a leading children’s services director.
Andrew Webb, co-chair of the Association of Directors of Social Services children and families committee, said officials were considering the mission and green paper simultaneously. The government launched the fact-finding mission after reports showed some schools were failing to engage with the Every Child Matters agenda.
