AI in social work practice: opportunities and risk

Wednesday 9 July 2025, 9.30am-12.45pm

Join us online on 9 July for a thought-provoking half-day event that explores the rapidly evolving role of artificial intelligence in social work practice.

As AI becomes increasingly embedded in the delivery of public services, this event will examine how it is currently being used across children’s and adult services, and what its integration could mean for the future of the profession.

Designed for practitioners, educators, social work leaders and policymakers, this session offers valuable insights into:

  • Groundbreaking research on generative AI in social work;
  • Practical applications of AI in children’s and adult services;
  • The role of AI in social work education and workforce development;
  • Ethical and equity-related considerations surrounding the use of AI.

Whether you’re already working with AI or just beginning to explore its possibilities, this event will equip you with the knowledge and context to navigate the intersection of technology and social work.
