Magistrates in Cleveland have issued an antisocial behaviour order banning a 35-year-old man from entering residential care homes in England and Wales.
Ian Lamming, who is from Middlesbrough, has a total of 99 convictions, most involving thefts from older people’s rooms in homes.
A spokesperson for Cleveland police said: “We are urging care home staff to be on their guard. Lamming enters premises either by force or by making some excuse to legitimise his presence.
“We are concerned about the shock a vulnerable person would suffer if they found him in their room.”
