Two jailed for torture of pregnant teenager with learning difficulties

A man and a woman who subjected a pregnant teenager with learning difficulties to “sustained and prolonged” torture were jailed for a total of 17 years on Wednesday.

Lee Holt, 27, and Donna O’Neill, 21, both from Aberdeen, bound and gagged Tammy McGregor, 19, who has a mental age of 12,  in a flat in the city last September, the High Court in Edinburgh heard.

During a two-and-a-half-hour ordeal, Holt and O’Neill stubbed out cigarettes on McGregor’s body, cut her Achilles tendon and poured hot salted water on her wounds.

McGregor was confined to a wheelchair for three months as a result of her injuries and is permanently disfigured.
