Expression of Interest in the provision of a Support Service in the County of Staffordshire and City of Stoke-on-Trent for persons living with or affected by HIV or AIDS

Staffordshire Joint Commissioning Unit on behalf of its partners (Stoke City Council, NHS North Staffordshire, South Staffordshire Primary Care Trust and NHS Stoke on Trent) is seeking expressions of interest from organisations to provide a support service for persons living with or affected by HIV or AIDS.

The service will provide information, advice, advocacy, counselling and support to service users and their families. It will also play a key role in supporting statutory agencies to consult with service users and carers in respect of existing and future services for persons living with or affected by HIV or AIDS. It is anticipated that the service will be up and running from April 2010 and will be provided across the administrative boundaries of the aforementioned statutory agencies.

Staffordshire Joint Commissioning Unit and its partners are keen to work in partnership with an organisation which has a proven track record in providing similar services and working successfully with statutory agencies.

If you have any questions please contact Anthony Garry, Commissioning Manager on 01785 277007.

Expressions of interest should be sent on company headed paper (by letter or fax 01785 277411) to be received no later than Wednesday 14th October, 2009.

Expressions should be addressed to Andy Marriott, Central Procurement Manager, Joint Commissioning Unit, Wedgwood Building, Tipping St, Stafford, ST16 2DH.

The JCU is a partnership between Staffordshire County Council, South Staffordshire PCT and NHS North Staffordshire
