Adass president Jenny Owen praises care staff for snow effort

Association of Directors of Adult Social Services president Jenny Owen has praised social care staff for their efforts in keeping services running during the cold snap.

Owen said: “Many have worked unstintingly to make sure that vulnerable and isolated people – sometimes living in isolated communities – are protected from the consequences of snow, ice, frost and cold. These colleagues deserve our utmost respect and gratitude.”

From Kent to Cumbria, Worcestershire to Wolverhampton, and Essex to the Scottish Borders “adult care staff have been closely involved in providing the vital community back up and support they have been trained to give.”
