From today, social workers in England must begin renewing their registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Social workers who do not re-register by 30 November will no longer be able to practise legally.
Alongside registration renewal, the HCPC will be auditing the continuing professional development profiles of a random sample of 2.5% of social workers.
