I looked for a job where I actually felt valued again, and that I could make a positive contribution. As frontline social work didn’t do that I left and then found a great job! Bliss nice to feel valued again and not have so much emotional strain.

I look for job where my managers, are trusted. If manager are trusted they will in turn trust you and able to support you through your cases. We have too many `lying ‘ managers unfortunately. Managers who trust you will try to keep you by supporting your development, growth and progress.
Social workers leave their current jobs,due to salaries. They are over worked, there is not much care and support and because of low salaries they are unable to have their own therapist. They end up getting burnout and loose passion in social work. Personally when I choose this carrier I really wanted to have positive impact in people, however one needs a salary to survive. We study for many years, struggling to pay tuation fees. Even after you graduated you still syugle to provide for your basic needs.
