STAR RATING: 2/5
Who is it run by? A child and adolescent psychiatrist
Who is it for? Child and adolescent mental health professionals, young people and parents.
Highlight: The opportunities the site gives young people, parents and professionals to take part in separate discussion forums. Another strength is the number of links to a range of information, including support groups, organisations and books, on mental health conditions. The site’s facility that allows visitors to locate information from across a number of specialist publications, including the British Medical Journal, is also helpful.
Although the lists of links are of great use, the lack of information on mental health conditions on the site itself makes it feel slightly lacking in authority – even a small paragraph on each one would be an improvement. The site’s design could also do with some attention as, despite the effective use of a range of colours, it looks slightly dated.
