All in the same boat

* What communication channels are there between frontline caseworkers and commissioning bodies to contribute to overall service mapping and planning in your area? Can CPA reviews and other such mechanisms help to identify un-met needs and develop services to cover gaps? How well do such mechanisms actually seem to work?
* Should we be maintaining strict divisions in community mental between healthcare, social care, and support? When is it helpful to keep such distinctions clear, and when is it helpful to blur or cross these boundaries?
* What do you know of the recovery approach? How does this approach differ from the more conventional approach of statutory agencies? Does it accord with social work values? Are there other agencies in society that seem to operate in a spirit of recovery? How might you aim, in your practice, to support their efforts?
