Social workers will be able to arrange job swaps with their
South African counterparts under a new agreement signed earlier
this month. The Memorandum of Understanding offers healthcare
professionals and social workers temporary placements in each
other’s country. Administrative costs of the scheme will be
covered by the Department of Health, with wages and travel met by
participating NHS and South African organisations.
