STAR RATING 4/5
Anyone looking to use music in their work with children and young
people should take a close look at this resource, writes Simon
Antrobus.
The music making resource pack provides a step-by-step guide to
engaging children in making music. It is rich with resources and
practical guidance that are accessible and well put across.
Hard copy text is complemented by CD-Rom based support and an audio
CD that has music to assist with the activities.
It also provides excellent examples to help learning and
development.
Written in a straightforward style, the activities are helped by
not relying heavily on expensive musical equipment.
But those running the workshop may need to be a confident beginner
or have some musical background.
Simon Antrobus is chief executive, Clubs for Young People
