Two bodies charged with improving the quality of social care in England have signed a partnership agreement to share information and influence each other’s work.
The pact between the Social Care Institute for Excellence and the Care Services Improvement Partnership, which is part of the Department of Health, formalises existing joint working arrangements.
Under the agreement, CSIP will use Scie’s knowledge base in its direct work to improve service provision, and use its findings from the field to inform the institute’s research.
Plans to base CSIP within Scie fell apart last February after Scie and the DH could not agree terms.
