Personalisation Conference

Personalisation is the new buzzword in social care and Community Care’s recent conference on the subject was certainly buzzing.  Nearly 300 delegates attended our personalisation conference, one of our most successful ever, to hear about what one speaker described as the “most profound change in social care in 60 years”.

Among the speakers at the day of debates and workshops in central London were representatives from the individual budget pilot projects and from In Control, which have been pioneering personalisation.  They described positive results as thousands of service users moving to self-directed support with their own budgets calculated on the basis of self-assessments.
